Application Details


  • Deadline for scholarship application is July 20, 2026
  • Please use the link above to access the Google Form to submit your application.
  • You will be notified via e-mail in regards to the status of your application by August 1, 2026

Purpose

The VOTA OTP Student Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance for purchasing books or any other school-related materials  to qualifying Vermont residents attending an accredited Master of Occupational Therapy program, Doctorate of Occupational Therapy, or in the first/second year in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Scholarship Awards

The scholarship award includes $500.00 for the academic calendar year 2026-27. The scholarship money is to be used specifically to purchase materials (e-texts, school supplies, laptop, etc.) required and recommended by the occupational therapy program.  The scholarship is to be awarded to one applicant annually and is not renewable.

Criteria

Applicant Must Be:

       a resident of the state of Vermont

       a member of VOTA

       enrolled in an accredited Master of Occupational Therapy program or in the first/second year in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program


Application Questions

  • Name, address, phone number, email,
  • Confirmation that you are a VOTA membe and a Vermont resident 
  • College, College Address, Expected year of graduation 
  • Degree Program: (i.e.: OTA, BSOT, MSOT, OTD, OT Phd, Other)
  • Current GPA
  • Name and contact information (phone # and email address) of academic reference from current Occupational Therapy program
  • Short Essay (approximately 350 words) Please answer the following questions: 1.What does it mean to be a member of your state’s professional Occupational Therapy Association? 2. How might you contribute to developing and improving the organization?
